Art and Music Emporium, located in downtown Bangor, offers a unique resource for area musicians, artists, and art or music lovers. Owners Joshua and Becky Long opened the store in April 2006, combining Joshua’s love and knowledge of music with Becky’s passion and knowledge of visual art. The store sells art supplies, offers rental and sales of musical instruments, offers music lessons, displays and sells the work of local artists, and is open as a general resource for students, artists, and hobbyists. Art & Music Emporium is open Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday from 4 pm to 8 pm, Wednesday from 1 pm to 5 pm, and by appointment.
The Rising Tide Community Loan Fund provided a loan to Art & Music Emporium for accounts payable, advertising, and working capital.
